How to use coping saw properly and effectively:

🤔 I need to place my piece in the vice so that the part I will be cutting is about (1) close to the vice. This will prevent the (2) from wobbling.
🤔 I need to make a little (3) on where I want to cut. This will prevent the (4) from wobbling when I start cutting.
🤔 I need to focus my energy on (5) instead of (6) when cutting. This is because the teeth on the blade are pointing (7) me. Pushing is for (8) the blade. Pulling is for (9).
🤔 I need to stand like a (10) when cutting. It will help me cut more easily by shifting part of my (11) weight from my front leg to my back leg when I pull the blade.
🤔 To make sure the (12) of the shape is cut out to be the same, I need to make sure my blade is always positioned (13) to the piece I cut. It means forming a 90 degree angle to the piece. This will also prevent the blade from (14). Also, it is always good to do (15) relatively straight cuts instead of one long cut.
🤔 To cut a curve line, I need to (16) than I (17). Otherwise, the blade will not have enough room to turn.

How to mark and cut our pencil topper properly:

🤔 Get the cardboard prototype of your pencil topper, use it to trace the shape outline onto (1) of plywood, with pencil. This ensures they are all (2). If you don't have that cardboard, you need to draw and cut a card or cardboard to make one.
🤔 Among the 3 pieces, the (3) one is for making a hole to hold the (4). You need to place your pencil onto it, then trace it accurately to get a (5) shape.
🤔 You will cut the thick piece of plywood first. It will be the (6) piece of your pencil topper. Cut a little bit (7) the pencil lines you draw, so that you can (8) it smoothly later to its shape.
🤔 To ensure the front and back shape is cut out to be the same, you can use (9) hands to stablise the coping saw so the blade is always (10) to the piece. You should also cut slowly to make your cut as (11) as possible.
🤔 When you do a curve cut, you must (12) more than you (13). Do it (14) and (15) and you will be fine.
🤔 If your blade got stuck or you broke it, (16) for help (17).
